What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain cutting-edge distributed systems that enable our developers to scale our compute and data platforms.
  • Scale compute infrastructure on Kubernetes by building controllers, admission plugins, and supporting systems.
  • Ensure efficiency, reliability, and performance at an unprecedented scale.
  • Collaborate across multiple workstreams to shape the backbone of xAI’s technology.
  • Contribute directly to the company’s mission by demonstrating initiative and delivering excellence.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Engineer, specifically in infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Kubernetes and distributed systems.
  • Experience with building and maintaining large-scale infrastructure.
  • Excellent communication skills to share knowledge concisely with teammates.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and demonstrate a strong work ethic.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with GPU-based computing and supercomputing platforms.
  • Familiarity with cloud services and infrastructure as code.
  • Knowledge of AI and machine learning concepts.
