About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Senior Medical Science Liaison to join our team at Xenon Pharmaceuticals. This role offers an exciting opportunity to engage with healthcare providers and key opinion leaders while supporting our innovative pipeline in neuroscience. As a Senior Medical Science Liaison, you will play a crucial role in advancing our mission to develop life-changing therapeutics for patients in need.

What You'll Do

  • Identify and cultivate scientific relationships with key external stakeholders including KOLs, HCPs, and advocacy groups.
  • Act as a key scientific resource to communicate up-to-date medical and clinical information about Xenon’s neurology and epilepsy products.
  • Advance Xenon’s scientific platform and medical information in alignment with corporate objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal clinical development teams to enhance patient enrollment in clinical trials.
  • Lead national and regional congress activities in accordance with Medical Affairs strategies.
  • Provide mentoring to new or less experienced MSLs.
  • Travel domestically up to 50% of the time, with potential international travel as needed.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a relevant doctorate degree (M.D., PhD, PharmD, DPH, DNP).
  • 5+ years of relevant MSL experience required, with 8+ years preferred.
  • Experience in the neurology therapeutic area or epilepsy is required.
  • Established relationships with KOLs and knowledge of institutions in neurology preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical research processes and FDA regulations is required.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in clinical trial development and drug launch.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to adjust according to the audience.
  • Proven ability to work independently and cross-functionally.
