About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Platform Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at Braze. As a Platform Security Engineer, you will play a crucial role in securing our internal infrastructure and platform systems that power our development and production environments. What You'll Do

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable security controls across various platforms including Kubernetes, AWS, Azure, and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with the Platform Engineering, Infrastructure, and GRC teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and audit requirements.
• Actively monitor and respond to security incidents, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of our systems.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to security policies, procedures, and controls.
• Engage in continuous learning and improvement to stay updated on the latest security trends and technologies.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in security engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security principles, particularly in AWS and Azure environments.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and security best practices.
• Familiarity with security frameworks and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

Nice to Have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or AWS Certified Security.
• Experience with container security and orchestration.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python or JavaScript.
