About the Role

As Marqeta’s Remote Manager of Identity Security, you will lead the charge in shaping and implementing modern identity strategies that secure access across all of Marqeta’s systems and services. This role is pivotal in our cloud-native environment, particularly within AWS, and offers an exciting opportunity to build a secure, scalable, and frictionless IAM program.

What You'll Do

  • Build and evolve our Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) program, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
  • Implement and manage IAM solutions that enhance security and support our operational goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into development processes.
  • Monitor and respond to IAM-related incidents and vulnerabilities, ensuring swift resolution and minimal impact.
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to IAM policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Provide training and guidance to teams on IAM best practices and tools.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in identity security.
  • Lead initiatives to improve IAM processes and tools, enhancing overall security posture.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Proven expertise in IAM solutions, particularly in AWS.
  • Strong understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement security measures.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to IAM-related incidents effectively.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, or similar) are a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Identity Governance and Administration (IGA) tools.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance frameworks (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools.
