Remote Head of Paid Search - Lead Digital Marketing Strategy
About the Role
We’re looking for a bold, inspiring Remote Head of Paid Search to lead our largest and most influential discipline and help shape the future of our agency. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who commands the room at the executive level and shows up every day as a coach, mentor, and champion for their team. You’ll sit at the center of strategy, innovation, and growth — owning the vision for Paid Search while empowering an already exceptional team to push boundaries, sharpen their expertise, and raise the bar across performance, leadership, and business impact. What You'll Do
- Manage a team of 90+ individuals, with 6 direct reports.
- Work with Directors to determine the correct roles, responsibilities, and expertise needed to scale and grow the paid search practice.
- Lead paid search strategy with emphasis on holistic, full-funnel approach.
- Serve as agency lead for all search POVs.
- Evolve and implement futuristic ad tech and generative AI solutions for workflow optimization, performance optimization, data analysis, and media strategy.
- Provide growth mapping & goal setting, and perform annual formal performance reviews.
- Drive paid search work for the team, including strategy development, tactical expertise, and measurement of search programs.
- Identify and determine paid search opportunities for all clients as they align with their digital marketing goals and strategies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in the development and implementation of media planning and buying strategies within the advertising industry.
- Specifically within Digital media with a focus on Paid Search in Google & Microsoft.
- Minimum of 4+ years of prior staff management, development, and mentoring experience.
- Demonstrated ability to build and lead teams in a highly collaborative environment to develop and execute paid search strategies, plans, and programs for clients in a variety of industries.
- Strong understanding of how creative, measurement tools, and audience play a role in the Search landscape.
Nice to Have
- Bachelor's degree (BA/BS). A Master’s degree in a related field is a plus.
- Active Paid Media certifications preferred.
