Join Point72 as a Remote GenAI Security Engineer and be at the forefront of securing our innovative AI systems. As we redefine investing through technology, your role will be pivotal in developing and implementing security controls that protect our generative AI systems. You will work with a team of experts dedicated to harnessing cutting-edge technology while ensuring the integrity and security of our platforms.

What You'll Do

  • Build and run generative AI (GenAI) security controls for applications and platforms, including guardrails for model usage and API integrations.
  • Secure agent/tool-calling and connector workflows to prevent tool abuse and data exfiltration.
  • Lead AI threat modeling and risk assessments, maintaining threat models for various risks and driving mitigations.
  • Define secure-by-default reference architectures for cloud-native and hybrid GenAI workloads.
  • Develop and continuously improve monitoring and detection for anomalous AI behavior and unsafe outputs.
  • Lead incident response and remediation for security events involving AI applications and/or data breaches.
  • Translate policy and regulatory requirements into implementation, including governance artifacts and audit-ready documentation.
  • Act as the GenAI security Subject Matter Expert (SME) with other internal teams, staying current on evolving threats.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering experience with strong coding experience in one or more general-purpose languages, such as Python, Go, and/or Java.
  • Experience building containerized applications and familiarity with cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of security principles and practices, especially in the context of AI systems.
  • Experience with threat modeling and risk assessment methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks and tools.
  • Knowledge of compliance standards and regulations related to data security.
  • Familiarity with incident response processes and tools.
