Remote Director of CMC Program Management - Biopharmaceuticals

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote Director of CMC Program Management to join Kyverna Therapeutics, a pioneering biopharmaceutical company focused on developing innovative cell therapies for autoimmune diseases. In this role, you will provide leadership and program management expertise to guide our CMC and technical operations teams through the complexities of drug development. As a leader in this field, you will help redefine the future of treatment for autoimmune diseases.

What You'll Do

• Oversee complex CMC programs and high-profile partnerships essential for the company's success.
• Develop and manage integrated CMC program plans, ensuring milestones are met and risks are managed effectively.
• Provide oversight for team members managing external suppliers of LVV or Cell Drug Product.
• Create project management tools to facilitate decision-making and risk management.
• Collaborate with TechOps Leadership and finance to manage program budgets and guide resource allocation.
• Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization and with external partners.
• Lead interfaces between functional areas to ensure seamless communication and execution of program milestones.
• Mentor junior project managers to foster professional development and collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with 15+ years of program or project management experience in drug development.
• Advanced degree (PhD, MS, or MD) and/or formal project management certification (e.g., PMP) preferred.
• Direct experience in Technical Operations or CMC Program Management is required.
• Exceptional communication skills and ability to interact with diverse individuals.
• Extensive experience with Contract Development and Manufacturing Organizations in Cell and Gene Therapy.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and meeting regulatory milestones.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Nice to Have

• Experience on the sponsor side in Cell and Gene Therapy organizations.
• Prior experience on the supplier side is a strong plus.
• Ability to influence and guide external stakeholders toward supportive decisions.
