Remote Director of Business Development - UX Design Focus

About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Director of Business Development to lead the strategic growth initiatives for Rocket Communications, a UX Design company focused on securing new business in the Federal Civilian (FedCiv) sector. This role is pivotal in shaping our overall business strategy and ensuring a consistent pipeline of revenue-generating projects.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the business development department and grow our Federal Civilian business sector.
• Develop and implement strategies to acquire Federal Civilian contracts.
• Foster innovation and collaboration within the team.
• Network at professional events to identify potential opportunities.
• Stay updated on FedCiv industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Collaborate on RFP responses and contractual agreements.
• Report directly to the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO).

Requirements

• 9+ years of business development experience, particularly within the Federal Civilian sector.
• Strong understanding of the federal procurement process and contracting vehicles.
• Exceptional networking skills and business acumen.
• Knowledge of modern software development processes and user experience principles.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Security Clearance.

Nice to Have

• 6+ years of experience related to key Federal Civilian agencies (e.g., HHS, VA, DHS, GSA).
