About the Role

Envoy Global is seeking a Remote DevOps Lead Engineer to play an integral role in safeguarding and optimizing our technology ecosystem. As a Remote DevOps Lead Engineer, you will oversee the deployment, operation, and protection of our physical infrastructure and cloud environments, primarily within Azure. This position is 100% remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your home while contributing to our mission of streamlining the immigration process for employers and individuals.

What You'll Do

  • Manage operational aspects of the CI/CD pipeline, including source control, build systems, infrastructure, networking, deployments, and permissions management.
  • Collaborate closely with Development, Data, Project Management, and Infosec teams to ensure the management, operability, and security of Envoy’s applications hosted in Azure.
  • Participate in architecture, requirements, and planning sessions with project owners and stakeholders.
  • Design and deliver DevOps projects that ensure infrastructure is operational 24x7 while being cost-effective.
  • Train and mentor DevOps engineers to meet Envoy Global’s growing requirements for the future.
  • Engage in planning sessions and daily stand-ups with multi-region DevOps staff.
  • Proactively plan and organize to adjust to the flexible needs of Envoy Global’s business.
  • Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are tested and updated annually.
  • Serve as an escalation point for technical issues.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in DevOps or related field, with a focus on cloud environments.
  • Strong expertise in Azure and CI/CD practices.
  • Proficient in automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Experience in mentoring and leading teams of engineers.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Knowledge of security best practices in cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
