Remote Data Analyst - Product for Crypto Exchange

About the Role

We are looking for a Remote Data Analyst to join our Product team at Kraken. As a fully remote company, we have Krakenites in over 70 countries, and we are committed to building the future of crypto. In this role, you will be a vital part of our mission to accelerate the global adoption of crypto, ensuring that everyone can achieve financial freedom and inclusion.

What You'll Do

• Act as a trusted business advisor, influencing decision-making for the growth team and understanding the business inside and out.
• Own the design of dashboards, metrics, and reports, turning data into actionable insights for the growth team and leadership.
• Dive into large, complex datasets to turn findings into scalable data models necessary for reporting and analytics.
• Lead cross-functional projects with analysts, scientists, engineers, and product teams to build data pipelines using Airflow, Python, and modern ETL frameworks.
• Develop and automate reporting of key performance indicators for Kraken’s products at scale.
• Deliver insights that shape growth direction through clear, data-driven storytelling.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data analysis and management within the financial services industry.
• Hands-on experience trading derivatives is required.
• Expert SQL skills, including complex joins and analytical functions.
• Familiarity with Python libraries such as pandas, matplotlib, and plotly.
• Experience using dbt (data build tool) for modeling and organizing data.
• Strong communication skills to simplify complex data ideas for both technical and non-technical audiences.
