Remote AI Automation Engineer Tech Lead

About the Role

We are seeking a Remote AI Automation Engineer Tech Lead who is passionate about transforming real-world business challenges into scalable AI and automation solutions. As a hands-on technologist, you will work closely with department heads and frontline managers to understand their pain points and design innovative solutions. This role requires a unique blend of technical expertise and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

What You'll Do

• Lead the technical delivery of AI and automation solutions across the organization.
• Collaborate with leaders and department heads to identify high-impact opportunities for AI integration.
• Design and implement AI-powered workflows, agentic workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.
• Integrate AI solutions with core systems and coordinate with third-party partners.
• Utilize Microsoft 365, Microsoft Power Platform, ChatGPT Enterprise, Stack AI, and Zapier to build effective automation solutions.
• Translate vague ideas into concrete requirements and prototypes, ensuring production-ready solutions.
• Manage a shared backlog of AI and automation requests, prioritizing tasks effectively.
• Report directly to the CIO and work within a collaborative team environment.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in AI and automation engineering.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing AI solutions, particularly with LLM-based agents.
• Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 and related platforms.
• Excellent communication skills for engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in project management and delivering technical solutions on time.
• Ability to travel up to 10% as needed.
