About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician I remote to join our team at Day & Zimmermann. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring that our ammunition products meet the highest quality standards. With your attention to detail and hands-on approach, you will help us maintain our reputation as a trusted manufacturer for the U.S. Military.

What You'll Do

  • Inspect and test materials, components, and work in process according to established procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with ordinance specifications and standard inspection procedures.
  • Visually inspect work from beginning to end for defects such as rips, puckering, and holes.
  • Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed records of quality reports.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments to assess fabric properties like tensile strength and color consistency.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding quality requirements.
  • Participate in quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Assist with inventory control and preparation for shipment.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience in quality assurance or a related field.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
  • Knowledge of measuring tools and quality testing equipment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Willingness to attend internal QA Certification classes.
