Qualified Nursery Practitioner - Level 2
About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner - Level 2 to join our team at Monkey Puzzle Lightwater. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in providing high standards of care and education to meet the individual needs of children. This position offers a competitive salary starting from £27,560 per annum, and you will be part of a supportive and welcoming environment.
What You'll Do
- Provide play-based learning opportunities for all children, ensuring a stimulating environment.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures while maintaining positive relationships with team members, parents, and carers.
- Report any issues of concern to a senior team member promptly.
- Engage with children to extend their learning through high levels of interaction.
- Support children during mealtimes, ensuring a positive social experience.
- Assist children with transitions to new settings and provide necessary support with feeding, changing, and toileting.
- Participate in child observations and assessments, demonstrating a good understanding of child development.
- Maintain a confident knowledge of safeguarding processes to ensure the safety and welfare of children.
Requirements
- GCSE grades 5-9/A-C or equivalent.
- Full and relevant Level 2 qualification in Early Years.
- Knowledge of safeguarding processes and procedures.
- Ability to manage behavior appropriately.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with both adults and children.
- Good planning and organization skills.
- A willingness to learn and adapt.
- Experience in child observations and assessments is a plus.
Nice to Have
- Food Hygiene Level 2 certification.
- FGM Safeguarding training.
- Paediatric First Aid certification.
