Project Controls Coordinator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a Project Controls Coordinator remote to join our dynamic team at ABEC. This role is crucial in ensuring that production schedules are met and shipments to customers are completed on time. As a Project Controls Coordinator remote, you will provide ongoing support to the shop floor operations team through collaborative work with project management, project controls, design, project engineering, and manufacturing engineering.

What You'll Do

• Serve as a direct resource to all shop personnel regarding job orders, production schedules, and material requirements.
• Receive and process technical drawings, bills of materials, and other specifications in a timely manner to expedite needed materials for manufacturing.
• Issue, track, and close all shop floor work orders, ensuring materials are supplied according to production schedules.
• Expedite and prioritize work orders and material pick lists to meet date-driven commitments.
• Generate and publish material shortage reports, collaborating with supply chain and quality departments.
• Work closely with project management to ensure labor forecasts and project build progress are updated regularly.
• Attend weekly project team meetings and complete assigned action list activities on time.
• Identify and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities within the manufacturing process.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a custom/specialty manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate or higher skill level in Excel, data manipulation, and statistics.
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems, with Syteline experience being a plus.
• Familiarity with Quality Systems and/or certification in Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma is highly desirable.
• Functional experience with MS Office applications.
• Awareness of Continuous Improvement (CI) practices is a plus.
