Programming Lead for Devcon 8 - Remote Opportunity
About the Role
We are seeking a Programming Lead for Devcon 8 to join the Ethereum Foundation's mission to foster an open, decentralized infrastructure for the world. This role is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while coordinating a significant event in the Ethereum community. As the Programming Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the content and ensuring the success of Devcon 8, scheduled for November 3-6, 2026, in India.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate a team of community reviewers to ensure fair consideration of the Ethereum ecosystem's needs.
- Develop and execute processes for the application and review of speakers for Devcon.
- Manage logistics and communications with speakers and reviewers throughout the year.
- Facilitate a feedback loop to ensure continuous improvement of the programming.
- Work collaboratively with a multicultural team using tools like Notion, Telegram, and Google Docs.
Requirements
- Experience in the Ethereum ecosystem and familiarity with its diverse topics and community needs.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with community volunteers and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and troubleshoot issues proactively.
- Willingness to commit to a part-time schedule starting in April 2026, ramping up to full-time as the event approaches.
Nice to Have
- Previous experience in organizing events, particularly within the blockchain or tech space.
- Familiarity with project management and communication tools.
- Experience working with remote teams across different time zones.
