About the Role

We're hiring a Product Developer & Garment Technologist to join our dynamic team at SQUATWOLF. This role is pivotal in shaping the future of gymwear, requiring relocation to Dubai. As a Product Developer & Garment Technologist, you will oversee the technical development process from concept to production, ensuring our products meet the highest standards of fit, functionality, and quality.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical development process, collaborating with Design, Sourcing, and Merchandising teams.
  • Participate in fit sessions, providing actionable feedback to factories and pattern makers.
  • Review and approve prototypes and pre-production samples, ensuring they align with tech packs and fit standards.
  • Identify and resolve construction, fit, or performance issues throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Manage garment blocks and construction standards, ensuring consistency across fits and grading.
  • Create and maintain technical specification documents to communicate requirements clearly.
  • Organize wearer trials to validate comfort and performance, driving corrective actions as needed.
  • Stay connected to fitness culture, understanding athlete needs and performance apparel trends.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in product development and garment technology, preferably in activewear.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in supplier communication.
  • Deep understanding of quality control protocols and garment performance evaluation.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, and PLM systems.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Genuine passion for training and fitness, with hands-on experience in performance apparel.

Nice to Have

  • Experience drafting patterns manually or via CAD.
  • Knowledge of fabric testing standards and garment testing reports.
