About the Role

We are seeking a Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team at Sonepar. This Procurement Specialist remote position offers a unique opportunity to work with a leading industrial supplier in Malaysia, KVC Industrial Supplies, which has been a trusted name since 1989. You will play a crucial role in managing procurement activities and ensuring the smooth operation of our supply chain.

What You'll Do

• Oversee all procurement activities for the organization, ensuring compliance with established procedures.
• Provide expert advice and assistance on procurement processes and contracts.
• Develop, manage, and coordinate procurement processes to optimize efficiency.
• Identify and select vendors based on criteria such as pricing, quality, and delivery timelines.
• Process purchase requisitions and orders within your purchasing authority.
• Establish and negotiate contract terms and conditions while maintaining strong supplier relationships.
• Liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Manage supplier quality issues and coordinate changes in material specifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to establish effective supplier relationships.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
