Procurement Project Buyer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We're hiring a Procurement Project Buyer to join our team remotely. This role is crucial for ensuring that procurement deliverables and commercial milestones are met in our healthcare company that empowers movement for people with mobility challenges.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with the Procurement Lead on New Product Development (NPD) projects to align procurement strategies with category goals.
  • Lead Request for Quotation (RFQ) activities, preparing RFQ packages and managing supplier timelines.
  • Analyze supplier quotations and evaluate cost structures to provide recommendations for supplier selection.
  • Ensure compliance with category strategies and sourcing standards throughout the procurement process.
  • Drive commercial activities related to sourcing, including pricing validation and risk assessment.
  • Contribute to the Financial Requirement Calculation (FRC) process by providing accurate cost inputs.
  • Coordinate purchase orders for samples and project builds to ensure timely material availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, supply chain, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience as a buyer, with strategic sourcing experience preferred.
  • Strong negotiation skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Very good English language skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel and hold a valid passport.
  • Experience in an international and multi-site environment is a plus.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and technical skills in plastics, textiles, and foam is an asset.
