About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated PhD Student in Neuroimmunology to join our team at Universitätsklinikum Münster. This remote opportunity allows you to contribute to groundbreaking research while working part-time. As a PhD Student, you will engage in innovative research combining fundamental models with patient-based samples, utilizing state-of-the-art technologies in the field of neuroimmunology.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with an interdisciplinary and international team to investigate mechanisms of immunology at the blood-brain barrier.
  • Focus on analyzing cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) and meningeal tissue using multidimensional flow cytometry.
  • Apply single-cell and single-nucleus transcriptomics methods to enhance research outcomes.
  • Integrate your work within the Biology in Context Core Unit for comprehensive research.
  • Contribute to the publication of relevant findings in esteemed journals.

Requirements

  • Experience with cellular immunology methods and concepts.
  • Familiarity with multidimensional flow cytometry and/or sorting techniques.
  • Knowledge of single-cell or spatial transcriptomics is desirable.
  • High motivation, willingness to learn, and strong team spirit.
  • Excellent organizational skills, reliability, and flexibility.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English; German is not required.

Nice to Have

  • Background in wet-lab research; applicants with a purely (bio-)informatics background will not be considered.
