About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD Researcher in Digital Renovation Ecosystems to join our innovative team at Delft University of Technology. What You'll Do

• Design and test business models that promote responsible data sharing and long-term adoption of the Renovation Passport.
• Investigate legal and organizational mechanisms that ensure reliable transfer of building data with property ownership.
• Co-create and pilot training programs for professionals to enhance digital and data literacy in the renovation sector.
• Collaborate with software developers, municipalities, housing associations, and contractors to ensure practical relevance and policy alignment.
• Contribute to scientific and policy discussions on making digital renovation tools inclusive and effective.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in architecture, construction management, environmental studies, urban planning, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of energy transition, circular economy principles, and sustainable development.
• Excellent skills in mixed research methods and analytical thinking.
• Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging with policymakers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in English (C1 level or higher); knowledge of Dutch is a plus.
