About the Role

For the 2026-2027 school year, we are seeking a dedicated and joyful Part-Time Second Grade Teacher to join our educational team. This remote opportunity allows you to teach the first half of the school day, providing instruction in essential subjects such as English, Literature, Science, and Math. As a Part-Time Second Grade Teacher, you will play a vital role in shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning.

What You'll Do

  • Provide engaging instruction in English, Literature, Science, and Math during the morning block.
  • Implement structured, time-tested methods for teaching grammar, composition, spelling, and handwriting.
  • Lead rich read-alouds and facilitate discussions on quality literature to enhance comprehension.
  • Teach foundational math skills with an emphasis on mastery and problem-solving processes.
  • Encourage curiosity and exploration through hands-on science activities and nature study.
  • Establish a peaceful and joyful classroom environment that models virtues and integrates daily prayer.
  • Monitor student progress and maintain accurate academic records while communicating with parents.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency in curricular expectations and student support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • Experience teaching early elementary students is preferred.
  • Knowledge of phonics-based instruction and foundational math development is strongly preferred.
  • Willingness to learn the Singapore math curriculum.
  • Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills with parents and colleagues.
  • A deep love for young children and early learning.
  • A collaborative and mission-driven mindset.
