About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Classroom Assistant to join LifeWise Academy. In this role, you will support the teacher in creating an engaging and organized classroom experience. As a Classroom Assistant, you will play a vital role in fostering positive relationships with students and ensuring their safety and well-being. This position is perfect for individuals who are passionate about education and want to make a difference in students' lives.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the LifeWise teacher as needed and directed.
  • Gather, distribute, and organize classroom supplies.
  • Make copies and prepare activities for lessons.
  • Participate in class games, activities, and discussions.
  • Keep track of attendance records and other administrative tasks.
  • Support classroom management and help redirect disruptive students.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students at all times.
  • Provide guidance for students during class activities, assignments, and transitions.
  • Serve students with special needs or those requiring extra support.
  • Model positive behavior and enthusiasm for lessons and activities.
  • Act as a LifeWise Academy ambassador within the community.
  • Develop relationships with students and follow up on their stories and interests.
  • Chaperone children to and from their LifeWise classes as needed.
  • Complete the Classroom Volunteer training and other responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • A mature personal Christian faith in agreement with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
  • Active participation in and commitment to a local church whose doctrine aligns with the "What We Believe" section of the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with students.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with the teacher and other staff members.
  • Experience in a classroom or educational setting is a plus but not required.
