Paralegal - Remote Opportunity in Web3 Industry

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Paralegal to join our legal team at Coinhako. This remote paralegal position is essential for supporting our legal counsel and senior stakeholders, particularly at the intersection of financial technology and regulations. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency and compliance of our Legal and Corporate Development department.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct initial legal and regulatory research on issues affecting the business and prepare summaries or briefing memos to support the Legal Counsel's advice to stakeholders.
  • Track and monitor developments in applicable laws and regulations, particularly those affecting the blockchain industry, and synthesize information for the legal team to inform strategic guidance.
  • Manage and organize legal and regulatory documentation required for the launch of new products and services.
  • Assist the Legal Counsel with corporate governance matters by maintaining corporate records, filing documents, and preparing initial drafts of board resolutions or meeting materials.
  • Review and mark up commercial agreements for standard compliance, manage the document version control and signature process, and assist with the initial drafting of routine clauses.
  • Prepare and compile necessary forms, documentation, and correspondence for license applications and communication with regulatory authorities.
  • Organize and manage case files, coordinate document discovery, track key deadlines, and liaise with outside counsel in the process of managing legal disputes.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of relevant work experience as a corporate paralegal, preferably with a top-tier international law firm or a global in-house legal department.
  • Relevant financial services regulatory and corporate experience will be a plus.
  • A commercial mind that enables you to identify and distill a variety of legal issues (e.g., regulatory, contract, IP, privacy, consumer protection, risk) and clearly communicate practical risk-based solutions to the business and product teams.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Proactive and a team player.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the blockchain or cryptocurrency sector.
  • Familiarity with compliance and regulatory frameworks.
