Optometrist - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join AEG Vision in a remote capacity. As an Optometrist, you will conduct comprehensive eye exams, establish long-term patient relationships, and provide education on eye care. This remote Optometrist role allows you to practice to the full capacity of your license while supporting the growth of our practice.

What You'll Do

• Conduct thorough eye exams and establish patient relationships through exceptional care and education.
• Perform verbal interviews with patients to determine health and ocular history, medical issues, and visual wants and needs.
• Diagnose sight problems, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and prescribe appropriate treatments including eyeglasses and contact lenses.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for patients undergoing eye surgery, ensuring proper follow-up and care.
• Promote eye health by counseling patients on proper lens care and the importance of regular eye examinations.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
• Generate patient loyalty through exceptional service and adherence to AEG Vision's values.
• Stay updated on the latest technologies and treatments in optometry to provide the best care possible.

Requirements

• Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited institution.
• Active state optometry license.
• 2-5 years of experience as an Optometrist.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage patient care effectively.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
• Familiarity with the latest optometric technologies and practices.

Nice to Have

• Experience with vision therapy or low-vision rehabilitation.
• Knowledge of ocular disease management.
• Previous experience in a remote work environment.
