About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Network Availability Officer to join our team at Powercor Australia. This remote position is crucial for ensuring the safety and reliability of our electrical networks, which serve millions of customers daily. As a Network Availability Officer, you will play a vital role in reporting serious electrical safety incidents to Energy Safe Victoria (ESV), ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Collect and verify necessary information regarding serious electrical incidents from field crews.
  • Notify ESV of reportable incidents promptly and coordinate site preservation as needed.
  • Prepare and submit notifications and reports through internal systems related to the CitiPower, Powercor, and Australian Energy Operations networks.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting of electrical safety incidents to meet both regulatory and internal standards.
  • Communicate safety reporting obligations effectively to all stakeholders involved.
  • Collaborate with field crews to gather detailed information on incidents.
  • Maintain clear communication with internal teams and external regulatory authorities.

Requirements

  • Relevant electrical qualifications such as a certificate, trade qualification, or degree.
  • Strong understanding of the electrical network and safety legislation.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills for liaising with various stakeholders.
  • Experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.
