Morning Medication Aide/Med Tech - Onsite Role
About the Role
Waters Edge Lodge is currently seeking a dedicated Morning Medication Aide/Med Tech to join our team. This is an onsite role where you will be responsible for administering medications and assisting with caregiving needs. As a Medication Aide/Med Tech, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. This position offers both AM (6:00 am - 2:30 pm) and PM (2:30 pm - 11:00 pm) shifts, providing flexibility for part-time or full-time employment.
What You'll Do
- Administer medications to residents accurately and safely.
- Assist with caregiving tasks as needed to support residents.
- Respond promptly to residents' needs and alerts.
- React timely to resident pull cords and alerts to ensure safety.
- Maintain a warm and familiar atmosphere for residents.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 12 months experience or equivalent education in a healthcare environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly in English with elderly residents.
- Patience and compassion when working with cognitively impaired individuals.
- Current COVID-19 vaccination and routine COVID tests.
- Physical TB test and fingerprint clearance from the FBI & Dept. of Justice.
Nice to Have
- Experience in a senior living or healthcare facility.
- Certification in medication administration.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
