About the Role

Join us as a Mid-Senior Workforce Analyst in a fully remote capacity, where you will play a pivotal role in shaping data governance and analytics within the HR domain. Your expertise will contribute to the advancement of science and technology at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), impacting national security and global stability.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the development of enterprise workforce analytics and dashboards, focusing on attrition, internal mobility, and retirement risk.
  • Identify emerging workforce trends and provide data-driven insights to HR and leadership.
  • Build and validate advanced statistical and AI/ML models to anticipate workforce trends.
  • Write robust SQL queries to source and validate datasets from Oracle/LAPIS.
  • Design user-friendly dashboards in BI tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, and Tableau.
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on HR data structures and maintain the metric catalog.
  • Translate complex analyses into concise narratives for laboratory leadership.
  • Mentor analysts on modeling, visualization, and data storytelling.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Significant experience in building advanced workforce analytics or BI solutions.
  • Advanced SQL knowledge for data extraction and validation.
  • Proficiency with BI tools for dashboard design.
  • Hands-on experience with statistical methods using Python, R, or Alteryx.
  • Strong documentation discipline and attention to data quality.
  • Ability to lead projects independently and influence non-technical audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Master's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience with survey analytics linking sentiment to workforce outcomes.
  • Operational experience with AI/ML in analytics products.
  • Familiarity with HR systems and DOE/NNSA reporting contexts.
