Mid-Senior Autonomous Vehicle Road Testing Engineer - Remote
About the Role
Join us as a Mid-Senior Autonomous Vehicle Road Testing Engineer in our Autonomous Vehicle Road Testing team and help shape the future of autonomous mobility! This remote role offers you the chance to take end-to-end responsibility for autonomous vehicle road testing while acting as a key interface between development, operations, and testing. You will be part of a team that conducts all public road testing in Europe, coordinating global road testing activities and delivering high-visibility demonstration drives for politicians, investors, customers, and other key stakeholders worldwide.
What You'll Do
- Coordinate and collaborate closely with development partners and MOIA teams regarding feature development for specific milestones.
- Steer the release, DevDrop, and map testing in Hamburg while supporting global initiatives.
- Take full responsibility for demonstration drives, including vehicle and driver planning, upstream testing program, feature readiness, and map quality.
- Assess the current development status, create and prioritize issues, and ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in regular test and feature planning meetings, preparing and conducting escalations in case of delays to development goals.
- Manage global road test activities regarding planned feature rollouts and assess new training needs for new features.
- Conduct test drives to ensure the highest standards of performance and safety.
Requirements
- A completed degree in mechanical engineering, electrical/electronics engineering, mechatronics, automotive engineering, industrial engineering, business informatics, or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of professional experience in vehicle testing.
- Experience with ADAS or autonomous driving testing is a strong plus.
- Interest in remote work opportunities in QA & Testing.
- Strong affinity for data and data analysis.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Business-level fluency in German and English, both written and spoken.
