Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are looking for a Mid-Level Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join our distributed team at verkstedt. This Cloud Infrastructure Engineer remote role is crucial as it involves designing the systems that keep our applications running smoothly. You will have the opportunity to shape and evolve our cloud setup, focusing on code rather than bureaucracy.

What You'll Do

• Manage our multi-cloud setup across GCP, AWS, and European providers, including managed Kubernetes services.
• Explore and evaluate new tools and services to improve reliability and developer experience.
• Bring fresh perspectives on tooling, automation, and architecture to the team.
• Work on greenfield projects in the healthcare sector.
• Contribute to open source projects and collaborate with the team during our Open Fridays.

Requirements

• Significant experience building cloud setups using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• A genuine passion for building reliable, well-automated systems with clean code.
• Strong ability to find pragmatic solutions for complex problems.
• Self-organized with excellent communication skills.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of German is a bonus.

Nice to Have

• Experience with AI tools to improve workflows.
• Background in digital healthcare or retail media.
