About the Role

Join UGL as a Mechanical Tradesperson in a remote capacity, where you will play a crucial role in the maintenance and overhaul of mechanical components. What You'll Do

• Perform maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of train bogies, engines, and other mechanical components.
• Conduct diagnostics and inspections to ensure optimal performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and procedures in all tasks.
• Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to guide your work.
• Collaborate with the Component Solutions team to support day-to-day operations.
• Implement innovative ideas to improve production flow and efficiency.
• Build proactive relationships with staff and key stakeholders.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Requirements

• Mechanical Trade qualification and hands-on experience in a related field.
• Solid understanding of production, manufacturing, or process environments.
• Ability to implement new ideas and contribute to performance improvements.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build proactive relationships.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• HRWL Forklift license and First Aid certification (desirable).

Nice to Have

• Experience in the rail and transport industry.
• Knowledge of safety compliance regulations.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and equipment.
