Mechanical Design Engineer - Automotive Focus (Remote)

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join our innovative team at in-tech, specializing in automotive electronics and software. This remote Mechanical Design Engineer position offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers in the automotive industry, contributing to exciting projects in automotive, Smart City, and Smart Factory solutions.

What You'll Do

  • Design and develop 3D and 2D components for automotive applications.
  • Create and update technical documentation to ensure compliance with project specifications.
  • Clarify mechanical requirements for battery products within project teams.
  • Conduct risk analysis based on development changes in mechanical design.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and provide support to project teams as needed.
  • Review release documents and ensure the quality of drawings and PDM before submission.
  • Track sample statuses with production lines at both component and pack levels.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in the automotive sector.
  • Familiarity with automotive part design and release requirements.
  • Proficient in 2D drawing and 3D modeling using CATIA.
  • Experience with design quality documents and methodologies.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and learn independently.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in battery component design.
  • Knowledge of materials and basic mechanical engineering principles.
  • Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies.
