Master Electrician - Data Center Operations (Remote)

About the Role

We are looking for a Master Electrician to join our team in a remote capacity. As a Master Electrician, you will be responsible for ensuring that electrical systems are designed, installed, and maintained to the highest standards for safety, performance, and efficiency. This role is crucial in our data center operations, where power reliability and system uptime are paramount.

What You'll Do

• Maintain electrical systems for servers, UPS systems, switchboards, emergency backup generators, and other critical infrastructure.
• Lead the operations and maintenance of electrical panels, cabling, circuit breakers, transformers, and distribution systems.
• Oversee the electrical layout, ensuring all systems are configured for efficiency and safety.
• Diagnose electrical faults, outages, and failures across all electrical systems.
• Perform electrical testing, including insulation-resistance, ground continuity, low-voltage, medium-voltage, and high-voltage systems as necessary.
• Lead and mentor electrical teams, ensuring that all installations are done according to safety regulations and best practices.
• Coordinate with other departments (HVAC, network, mechanical) to ensure systems are integrated and running smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with local and national electrical codes and standards (NEC, OSHA, NFPA).

Requirements

• Licensed Master Electrician with 5+ years of hands-on electrical experience in data centers, industrial, or high-demand environments.
• Proven experience with high-voltage systems, power distribution, and emergency backup systems (generators, UPS).
• Knowledge of electrical systems for data centers and similar high-density power environments requiring mission-critical operations.
• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with an ability to work under pressure in critical situations.
• In-depth knowledge of NEC codes, OSHA standards, and NFPA 70E regulations.
• Experience managing electrical projects and mentoring teams in the field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and single-line diagrams.
