Logistics Operator - Remote Opportunity

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and driven Logistics Operator remote to join our team at Nippon Gases. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our logistics department, ensuring efficient loading and unloading of trucks, managing inventory, and performing various administrative tasks. Safety, quality, and environmental considerations are paramount in our operations. You will collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure smooth processes.

What You'll Do

• Load and unload trucks: You will check incoming shipments and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Administration: You will perform administrative tasks, such as data entry in systems like Magic and AS400.
• Cylinder management: You will sort, paint, and process cylinders, ensuring they flow correctly to their designated locations.
• Forklift operation: You will operate forklifts, maintain logs, and perform minor maintenance.
• Logistics process management: You will coordinate shipments and manage the warehouse effectively.
• Safety compliance: You will actively participate in safety meetings and ensure adherence to safety guidelines.
• Collaboration: You will work well with your team and other departments to ensure smooth handovers and continuity.

Requirements

• A completed A2 technical education or equivalent experience.
• An NDO Level 2 certification is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience in a similar work environment (e.g., industrial gases).
• You have a strong focus on safety and can quickly analyze and solve technical problems.
• Experience operating forklifts and working with systems like Magic and AS400.

• Experience in logistics management within the industrial gases sector.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
