About the Role

We're hiring a Lead Solutions Engineer to join our team at Polygon Labs. This Lead Solutions Engineer remote position offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of Web3 technology, supporting our payments and financial infrastructure products. You will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between product, engineering, and business development.

What You'll Do

  • Support business development in late-stage deals and technical evaluations.
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with customers, focusing on complex legacy payments and compliance.
  • Align customer business models with scalable payment architectures.
  • Translate customer requirements into actionable implementation plans.
  • Design integrations for wallets, payment APIs, KYC/KYB, and more.
  • Develop reference architectures and technical documentation.
  • Serve as the technical authority during customer discussions.
  • Identify gaps between current product capabilities and customer needs.

Requirements

  • Strong background in payments, fintech, or financial infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with fund flows, settlement, and reconciliation.
  • Proven experience in Solutions Engineering or Sales Engineering roles.
  • Ability to operate independently with minimal guidance.
  • Strong customer empathy and communication skills.
  • Comfortable coding and building small technical solutions.
  • Solid understanding of APIs and payment integrations.
  • Distributed systems experience is a plus.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with wallets and blockchain-based infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of global payment regulations.
  • Exposure to compliance-driven system design.
  • Experience working across time zones.
