Lead Line Cook - Culinary Excellence in Denver
About the Role
We are excited to announce that Sifted is hiring a Lead Line Cook in our Denver market. This is a fantastic opportunity for a culinary professional looking to grow and develop their skills in a dynamic environment. As a Lead Line Cook remote, you will work closely with our executive chef in a fast-paced commissary kitchen, preparing delicious meals for some of the hottest startups in the area.
What You'll Do
- Clean and prepare meats and vegetables for daily service.
- Steward and expedite product out of the kitchen efficiently.
- Maintain clear communication with the executive chef and city manager at all times.
- Keep your station and work areas clean and organized.
- Take ownership of your tasks and responsibilities.
Requirements
- Previous experience in kitchen roles such as line cook or prep/dishwasher.
- Experience with catering and event servicing is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- Working knowledge of diverse cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Familiarity with Google applications (Gmail, Google Drive) and Microsoft Office.
Nice to Have
- ServSafe Food Handler certification.
- Experience in a high-volume kitchen environment.
- Passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow.
