Lead Game Designer - Premium PC/​Console Titles

About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Game Designer to join our team at Gameloft, focusing on premium PC and console titles. As a Lead Game Designer remote, you will collaborate with various departments to define and execute the game vision, ensuring a cohesive and innovative AAA experience.

What You'll Do

• Collaborate with the Creative Director and other leads to establish and execute the game vision.
• Direct gameplay and meta structure, focusing on innovation and quality.
• Lead the design team to ensure a cohesive experience across the game.
• Coordinate with level design teams to ensure synergy between mechanics and progression.
• Anticipate and mitigate threats to quality and innovation.
• Build collaborative relationships with departments including Art, Technology, and Production.
• Participate in the recruitment process for game designers.
• Manage resources in collaboration with managers and producers.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in game design, including lead or senior positions.
• At least 2 released titles as a lead or senior game designer.
• Proven experience in gameplay systems design for PC/Console action genres.
• Experience prototyping with Unity or Unreal Engine.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Up-to-date knowledge of gaming market trends.
• Experience with industry tools like Jira, Confluence, and Figma.
• Fluent in English.

Nice to Have

• Experience in cross-platform game development.
• Knowledge of narrative design.
• Familiarity with user interface and user experience design.
