About the Role

Join Creative Assembly as a Lead Environment Artist and craft immersive game environments that captivate millions of players. This Lead Environment Artist remote position allows you to lead a talented team while working on the highly anticipated sequel to Alien: Isolation.

What You'll Do

• Manage and mentor the environment art team, ensuring high-quality work and productivity.
• Plan and schedule tasks, delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Oversee the execution of environment art tasks, maintaining quality standards.
• Collaborate with concept art, game design, and level design to create engaging gameplay spaces.
• Work with technical artists and engineers to implement efficient art pipelines.
• Participate in developing art production schedules, coordinating with production teams.
• Maintain expertise in industry tools and trends, sharing knowledge with the team.
• Provide hands-on contributions by creating high-quality environment assets.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Lead Environment Artist in the gaming industry.
• Strong artistic skills to create visually stunning environments.
• Experience managing external art teams and delivering high-quality work.
• Expert knowledge of 3D software such as Maya or 3ds Max, and familiarity with Blender.
• Proficient in Unreal Engine with at least one shipped title.
• Experience with Substance Designer, Painter, and Photoshop.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• A passion for visual environment creation.

• Expertise in Blender and modern software pipelines.
• Familiarity with procedural generation tools.
• Knowledge of art direction and visual storytelling.
