Lead Designer - Remote Position

About the Role

We are seeking a talented Lead Designer - Remote to join our team at Jobgether. In this pivotal role, you will be at the forefront of developing a modern web-based acquisitions system, enhancing the contracting processes for government agencies. As a Lead Designer, you will lead a team to ensure that design strategies align with user needs and accessibility requirements, making a significant impact on how acquisition teams and suppliers collaborate effectively throughout the acquisition lifecycle.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary authority for UX/UI strategy and execution.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of user needs and the approved design approach.
• Define and enforce design standards, style guides, and interaction patterns.
• Ensure cohesive user journeys across pre-award, award, and post-award activities.
• Lead the full UX lifecycle including research, ideation, wireframing, and prototyping.
• Translate complex acquisition workflows into intuitive user experiences.
• Design workflows to improve adoption and productivity for the federal workforce.
• Develop high-fidelity mockups and interactive prototypes.
• Ensure design solutions align with user needs and regulatory requirements.
• Operate effectively within an Agile framework and manage design work.

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience serving as a Design Lead on complex web platforms.
• Proficiency with industry-standard design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, or Sketch.
• Deep understanding of UX/UI principles and project lifecycle practices.
• Proven ability to work within Agile or Scrum development environments.
• Strong understanding of modern web technologies and front-end constraints.
• Experience designing secure, scalable interfaces deployed in cloud environments.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
