About the Role

We are seeking a Lead Controls Engineer to join Greater Western Water in a remote capacity. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead compliance and controls initiatives while enjoying the flexibility of working from home and the Footscray office. With a competitive salary of $128,000 AUD plus 12% superannuation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Oversee the design and execution of the enterprise control library and verification program to ensure full regulatory and business compliance.
  • Support the enterprise compliance assessment process associated with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain assurance and control verification systems.
  • Provide specialist advice and expertise to control owners to ensure compliance obligations are met.
  • Accountable for control documentation and verification evidence artefacts.
  • Support the Senior Manager in designing and implementing control processes to mitigate operational and financial risks.

Requirements

  • Solid experience in complex, regulated environments with knowledge of control testing systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting findings.
  • Ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in risk and control assurance methodologies.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the water management industry.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory standards.
