About the Role

Join us as a Landfill Remediation Adviser in a remote capacity, where you'll play a crucial role in environmental management and sustainability. This position involves overseeing the remediation of closed landfill sites, ensuring safety and compliance for the Redlands Coast community.

What You'll Do

  • Develop and implement Closed Landfill Management Plans, including inspection schedules and emergency response procedures.
  • Manage environmental and geotechnical investigations, site remediation, and ongoing monitoring programs.
  • Lead project and contract delivery, including design review, tender assessment, and risk assessment.
  • Provide specialist technical advice on risk, emergency response actions, and environmental compliance.
  • Coordinate infrastructure upgrades in collaboration with internal departments and external contractors.
  • Prepare clear reports and manage operational budgets for closed landfill operations.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders to achieve high-quality outcomes.

Requirements

  • Tertiary Qualification in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated project management experience in landfill remediation or environmental projects.
  • Strong contract administration skills with experience in overseeing tenders and project delivery.
  • Ability to provide specialist advice on environmental monitoring and remediation investigations.
  • Highly developed communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strong written communication skills, including report writing and documentation preparation.
  • Developed computer literacy, including project control and scheduling tools.
  • A positive, values-driven approach with a willingness to learn and grow.
