Kitchen Team Member - Food Service Role

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated Kitchen Team Member to join our team at Loop Neighborhood Market. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment while providing exceptional food service. As a Kitchen Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring customer satisfaction through quality food preparation and outstanding service.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and serve high-quality food to customers, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
• Maintain foodservice displays to ensure they are fully stocked and appealing.
• Manage inventory of prepared ingredients, complying with temperature and shelf-life guidelines.
• Follow proper food handling procedures, including wrapping, labeling, and storing products.
• Set up and break down prep stations, keeping them clean and organized.
• Provide exceptional customer service through positive interactions with customers.
• Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Support opening and closing duties, including end-of-shift cleaning.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service Certification preferred.
• Knife skills and previous restaurant experience are a plus.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Ability to bend down frequently and lift up to 50lbs.
• Strong teamwork and punctuality skills.
• Able to read, write, and speak basic English.
• Able to successfully complete a consecutive 90-day probationary period.
