About the Role

We are seeking a talented Java Software Engineer - Remote to join our innovative team at Santander. As a Java Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing software solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.

What You'll Do

• Design and implement software applications based on microservices architecture in the cloud.
• Develop applications according to the business requirements of Santander's Global Cards division.
• Integrate card applications with other internal systems within the Santander Group.
• Deploy software solutions to internal clients of the Santander Group.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance application performance and resilience.

Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Java Software Engineer - Remote.
• Proficiency in agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.
• Technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong experience in developing applications using Spring Boot or Quarkus.
• Familiarity with cloud architectures (AWS, OpenShift, Azure).
• Experience with APIs and messaging systems like Kafka and RabbitMQ.
• Knowledge of databases such as PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and Oracle.
• Understanding of performance optimization patterns and DevOps practices.
