Internship - Software Developer AI (Remote)

About the Role

We are excited to offer an Internship - Software Developer AI (Remote) position at IDEMIA. This internship provides a unique opportunity to contribute to the development of cutting-edge AI systems while working remotely. As an intern, you will play a vital role in enhancing our AI capabilities, specifically focusing on improving an AI system based on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation). You will analyze existing architectures, test new models, and optimize semantic search to enhance response relevance.

What You'll Do

• Study and understand the current architecture of the RAG pipeline, including data ingestion, indexing, retrieval, and generation.
• Test and compare various open-source embedding models and LLMs (Large Language Models) to improve search and response quality.
• Experiment with different information retrieval strategies, such as vector search and hybrid search.
• Analyze performance metrics, including response relevance, latency, and GPU consumption, and propose improvements to optimize the existing RAG system.
• Collaborate with a diverse team of professionals to drive innovation and enhance AI technologies.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an engineering program or equivalent.
• Development skills in Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS.
• Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and concisely.
• Curiosity and willingness to work autonomously on challenging tasks.

• Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries.
