What You'll Do

  • Process new referrals for the Family Cancer Centre (FCC) for individuals referred to the center.
  • Liaise and collaborate with Genetic Counsellors and other FCC team members to complete the intake process.
  • Assist in the development of intake process services as required.
  • Participate in educational activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Perform other tasks as deemed necessary by the Director or Unit Manager.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a Masters of Genetic Counselling course.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong judgment, initiative, and confidentiality in task performance.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
  • Previous experience in a Genetics Service, Familial Cancer Centre, or telephone work is desirable.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in genetic counseling or related fields.
  • Familiarity with healthcare systems and processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
