Join Glydways as an Industrial Design Intern – Mobility & Infrastructure remote position, where you will play a crucial role in reimagining public transit. What You'll Do

• Contribute to the design of the Glydcar vehicle and transit stations, focusing on form development that prioritizes passenger comfort and safety.
• Build and iterate on complex surfaces using industry-standard software, ensuring high-quality design outputs.
• Conduct ergonomic studies to enhance user experience, making public transportation more user-friendly.
• Assist in creating full-scale mockups and prototypes, bringing innovative ideas to life.
• Produce high-fidelity renders and animations for presentations, showcasing design concepts effectively.
• Collaborate with a team of experienced professionals from leading tech companies, gaining insights and mentorship.
• Work on projects that aim to transform public transportation, contributing to a sustainable future.
• Gain experience in a mission-driven environment focused on sustainability and innovation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a BFA/BS or MFA program in Industrial Design or Transportation Design.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling software and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Experience with physical model making and 3D printing.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes.
• A genuine interest in sustainability and urban planning.

Nice to Have

• Previous internship experience in design or related fields.
• Familiarity with sustainable design practices.
• Knowledge of user-centered design principles.
