Iberia IT Specialist - Remote Opportunity with 90% Travel

About the Role

We are seeking an Iberia IT Specialist to join our team at bioMérieux. This role offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while traveling extensively across Spain and Portugal. As an Iberia IT Specialist, you will play a crucial role in migrating our systems from Windows 10 to Windows 11, ensuring that our diagnostic solutions remain at the forefront of technology.

What You'll Do

• Migrate systems to Windows 11 across Iberia laboratories, managing obsolescence equipment.
• Support mandatory and optional software and firmware patches and upgrades.
• Collaborate with hospital IT staff to discuss cybersecurity and network connections for our equipment.
• Establish and maintain remote support platforms using VPNs.
• Provide direct support to internal and external customers, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Ensure customer satisfaction by following up and meeting key performance indicators.
• Support the rollout of new proactive IT service tools and processes.

Requirements

• University Degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or equivalent; Vocational Training in Microcomputer Systems and Networks is also acceptable.
• Vocational Specialization in Cybersecurity or certifications in Networks (e.g., CCNA) are highly valued.
• Experience with Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server environments.
• Basic knowledge of LIS/HIS configuration is desirable.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently.
• Fluency in Spanish and English; Portuguese is a plus.
