Head of Payments - Remote iGaming Executive

About the Role

We are looking for a Head of Payments to join Nexus International, a leading iGaming operator, in a fully remote capacity. As the Head of Payments, you will play a critical role in shaping our global payments strategy, ensuring seamless transactions, and supporting our rapid growth across various markets. This position is perfect for someone with extensive experience in payments leadership, particularly within the iGaming or fintech sectors.

What You'll Do

• Develop and execute a comprehensive global payments strategy, focusing on payment service provider (PSP) selection and negotiation.
• Identify and onboard relevant PSPs across priority markets to enhance our payment infrastructure.
• Improve deposit approval rates and reduce transaction friction through strategic initiatives.
• Optimize routing logic and payment orchestration to ensure efficient transaction processing.
• Monitor payment KPIs, including approval rates and cost ratios, to drive performance improvements.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and anti-money laundering (AML) requirements.
• Build a scalable payments infrastructure that supports international growth and market expansion.
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align payment strategies with overall business objectives.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience in payments leadership within the iGaming or fintech industries.
• Strong network of PSP relationships across regulated and emerging markets.
• Proven track record of improving approval rates and reducing processing costs.
• Deep understanding of card acquiring, alternative payment methods (APMs), and local payment rails.
• Experience with fraud mitigation tools and payment orchestration.
• Strong commercial negotiation skills and experience operating in multi-market environments.
