About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Data Intelligence to join our team at Chainlabs. This remote position is ideal for candidates located in the Europe or Asia timezones. As the Head of Data Intelligence, you will play a crucial role in bridging client discovery, data strategy, and operational leadership. You will work closely with the CEO to establish the intelligence operations that make blockchain data understandable and actionable.
What You'll Do
- Lead and mentor a team of managers, taking ownership of their performance and output.
- Define, implement, and enforce quality standards across metadata, screenshots, and quality control processes.
- Establish audit frameworks to continuously review datasets and methodologies across various categories.
- Adapt and evolve intelligence operations to respond to shifting market demands and emerging segments.
- Prioritize category development and set a clear roadmap for intelligence expansion.
- Collaborate with the Operations Lead to improve workflows, tooling, and project management discipline.
- Engage directly with clients to uncover unmet needs and translate requirements into product opportunities.
- Support the CEO in expanding Chainlabs’ offerings into target segments.
- Scale the intelligence team through strategic hiring, capability development, and performance management.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in OSINT or Web3 data intelligence.
- Demonstrated success in managing managers (skip-lead experience).
- Proven ability to drive performance via OKRs, reviews, and mentoring.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a track record of identifying and developing new product opportunities.
- Strong communicator with client-facing and stakeholder management experience.
- Familiarity with Agile/Kanban methodologies and operational metrics.
- Bonus: Hands-on technical ability with SQL, Python, or notebook analysis.
- Bonus: Background in intelligence, compliance, or law enforcement.
Success Metrics
Your success in this role will be measured by improvements in data quality, scalability of intelligence operations, leadership effectiveness across managers, and the conversion of client insights into new product opportunities.
