Full-Time Person In Charge - Grocery Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Full-Time Person In Charge to oversee grocery operations at our Newport Ave Market in Bend, Oregon. As a key member of our team, you will manage daily operations, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for both employees and customers. This role is essential for maintaining high standards in customer service and operational excellence.

What You'll Do

• Manage daily grocery operations, ensuring all projects and activities are completed accurately and on time.
• Adhere to all food safety and sanitation requirements, maintaining a clean and organized store environment.
• Oversee the sales floor and backroom, ensuring products are easily accessible and properly stocked.
• Handle cash transactions, balance tills, and make bank runs as necessary.
• Lead and motivate a team, providing training and support to new employees.
• Address customer inquiries and concerns with enthusiasm and professionalism.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, fostering a positive work culture.
• Perform inventory duties and maintain perishable conditions throughout the day.

Requirements

• Current Food Handler’s Permit.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail grocery experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Strong knowledge of grocery store operations and food safety best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively and adapt to changing situations.
• Proficient in standard software applications and comfortable with technology.
