As a Freelance Game Designer, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the safety readiness of frontline workers in high-risk industries through the use of AI and gamification. What You'll Do
- Collaborate with a passionate team to conceive, prototype, and ship engaging gameplay and learning interactions.
- Evaluate systems and mechanics to enhance clarity, engagement, and outcomes for users.
- Tackle design challenges through creative exploration and rapid iteration.
- Participate in playtests and review sessions to refine designs and gather feedback.
- Communicate effectively with engineers, artists, and product partners to ensure cohesive project development.
- Work closely with Design Leadership and Subject Matter Experts while utilizing Unreal Engine 5.
- Utilize Sequencer to build greyboxes for asset implementation, ensuring a smooth workflow.
- Partner with designers, programmers, and artists to improve overall project workflows.
- Leverage AI-powered localization tools to create interactive experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
- Polish and optimize levels for PC, VR, and web-based experiences, enhancing user engagement.
Requirements
- Strong expertise in Unreal Engine 5 and proven experience in game design and/or level design.
- Solid understanding of core principles of interactive design.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with production and documentation tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- Organized and reliable, with the ability to deliver tasks independently and meet deadlines.
